Dr. Cummings grew up in Eastern Washington. She attended Washington State University earning a degree in Animal Science prior to attending Washington State University College of Veterinary Medicine. Dr. Cummings practiced for several years in Iowa, Montana, and Idaho before moving to Spokane and joining Garland Animal Clinic in 2017.

She and her husband have two children. Her son is attending the University of Northwestern Ohio majoring in High Performance Automotive and her daughter is in her first year at Eastern Washington University majoring in Pre-Med.

The Cummings family includes two Boxers, one longhair cat, one terrorist cat, and two horses. She and her husband enjoy camping, rally racing, and photography.
