Kiauna was born and raised in Spokane. For nine years of her childhood, Kiauna and her family had Boxers and even helped out when their first Boxer, Zaggie, had seven puppies! That’s when Kiauna decided that she wanted to work with animals in her future. Around middle school, Kiauna took a summer class for Intro to Vet Assisting and fell even more in love with the dream. After high school, Kiauna did a lot of pet sitting for friends and family. Caring for animals was a natural thing for her. Now she is slowly working on becoming a Veterinary Technician through Penn Foster and is so excited and blessed to be working here at Garland while she works on finishing school. 

In her spare time, Kiauna loves to draw, write songs and stories, and play guitar. Her all-time favorite hobby would be surfing with her boyfriend and his family out on Lake Roosevelt during the summer weekends. Besides becoming a Veterinary Technician, she dreams to have her own Boxers one day to love and care for.
